Hello, community.

Since I bought this Wi-Fi adapter, I've been trying various things to get it to work properly, but I'm stuck at this point:

  1. I installed the latest driver from the TP-Link website.

  2. The adapter powers on, and the LED turns blue. It then searches for my network and connects properly.

  3. Everything works fine for a while, but after about an hour (sometimes less), the connection suddenly drops. When I try to search for networks again, the list is empty. The adapter still has the blue LED on and appears to be working, but after roughly 5 minutes, the system crashes. I get a BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) and the system reboots.

To avoid the BSOD, what I’ve been doing is, every time I lose the connection, I go to the Device Manager and uninstall the driver. After that, I reinstall the driver, and the loop starts again.

Can anyone help me?

My setup:

  • OS: Windows 11 (22621.5624)

  • Motherboard: B550M Aorus Elite

  • Processor: Ryzen 7 3700X

  • RAM: 32GB

  • Graphics Card: RTX 3070 Ti

@David-TP Hello, thanks for the response.
I've changed USB ports and, at least until today, it seems to be working fine.
I have a M-Audio 192|4 audio interface connected to the USB 3.0 ports at the back, and when I connect the WiFi adapter to those ports too, the problems begin. However, since I've connected the WiFi adapter to the front USB port, it works fine. It’s weird because the first time I tested the WiFi adapter on this front port, I got a BSOD. Who knows...
This motherboard/chipset has caused these kinds of problems in the past.

Thanks for the quick response and for following up on my case.

Best regards,
Josema

  @Josema081

Hi, welcome to the community.

May I know how long you have had Archer TX50UH?

Have you tested this adapter on a different computer?

It is also suggested to install the driver here to see whether it helps:

At the same time, I'd like to follow up on your case via email in case I need to ask the senior engineer for more assistance.

Please check whether you can receive my email later.

Thank you very much.

Best regards.
