Hello everyone . I just bought the tp link deco mesh system with 3 units. Is there a way to select which devices are linked to a specific unit?

Hi, for Deco M4_V2, please make sure the firmware has been updated to 1.7.0.

In comparison to WiFi 7, the WiFi 5 Mesh model may be considered outdated. However, the Deco M4 remains a popular and budget-friendly basic Mesh model that continues to sell well.

@David-TP thank you I tried but I get they the current firmware (1.6.5) is updated ... I don't get the option to update to 1.7. If I can return it , which mesh system should I get in order to be able to choose the devices that are linked to each deco?( even if it's more expensive )

Hi, thanks for the update.
Apart from "Connection Preference", being able to set preferred Deco and WiFi band, would there be other requirement, such as your network bandwidth? How many network devices would there be in the house?
Many Deco models have been updated with "Connection Preference" such as Deco X50(WiFi6), Deco XE75(WiFi 6E), and Deco BE65(WiFi 7)
