My first DECO setup
Hello
i would show you my first deco wifi network setup and ask you if this is all correct?
At the moment i'm happy with switching between the ap's when walking from room to room and floor to floor with iphone's.
But there are some cameras they did not connect to the nearest ap instead they cconnecting to the ap in the next floor.
I did solve this with block the device and after few minutes connect again with the deco app.
It seems also when i lock a device which can only 2,4ghz to a specified ap (X50-Otdoor) it will connect nevertheless to another ap (be25) what is from device far away.
Maybe i have power off the GardenaHub next time and than try again.
My setup is
Ground floor (Garage) = BE25 to connect 2x Tapo C125 and 3x Smart Garage opener all time in IoT-Network
1st floor (Apartment with 4 rooms) = 1x BE25
2st floor (Apartment with 5 rooms) = 2x BE25 and on the terrace outside 1x X50-Outdoor (conne
3rd floor (Sleeping rooms 4) = 2x BE25
All AP's are connected with cable to the main router FritzBox and working mode is accesspoint.
Ground floor direct with FritzBox / 1x BE25
1st floor direct with FritzBox / 1x BE25
2st floor over Switch / 2x BE25
2st floor outside Switch --> over PoE Switch / 1x X50-Outdoor
3rd floor over Switch / 2x BE25
Is this correct that all the devices are showing connected with the main deco?
Is the X50-Outdoor a good choice with all the other BE25?
Is it possible to show also the rssi value of the clients in the deco app?
In the Tapo app for the cameras you can tap on the wifi icon and than you see the rssi signal value this is very usefull.
Is it possible to test the connection via iperfv3 to specified accesspoint? ;)
