Unstable internet connection on Archer BE900 v2.6
Please help with the router. During the initial setup, the router swears at double NAT. I have already tried all possible settings and connection methods, nothing helped. Perhaps because of this or something else, the router does not keep a stable Internet connection. After restarting, the Internet works quickly for only the first 10-20 minutes or so, then it freezes when loading websites, smart home devices and televisions lose their Internet connection. I have tried all possible options for the available router settings. I changed the cable to cat8. I bought a cooling stand due to suspicions of overheating of the device. Nothing helped me. I'm starting to doubt the correctness of choosing this router.

Hello @BadBajo ,
Welcome to our community.
You mentioned that there is double NAT in your network.
May I know if your network topology diagram is as follows:
ISP modem—Archer BE900—second router )))((( client devices
(Note: — stands for wired connection,)))((( stands for wireless connection )
When the internet drops, please check what is the LED status of BE900?
When the internet drops, please try the following suggestions:
1) Connect a PC directly to your modem to verify if your ISP's Internet is stable.
2) Ensure the Ethernet cable connecting your modem to the Router is properly connected, and replace old wires with new ones.
3) Change the DNS Server of the Router, log in to the web management interface of the Router, go to Advanced > Network > Internet > Advanced Settings, and change the two DNS Servers to 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8. How to Change the DNS servers on the wireless router and DSL modem router (New UI)?
4) Go to Advanced > System > Firmware Update to upgrade the firmware of the Router. How to Upgrade the Firmware on the TP-Link Wi-Fi Routers?

@Joseph-TP That's right, the router issues a double NAT error when quickly configuring the device. The network topology scheme is as follows: Provider <---> Archer BE900 router <---> Client devices. There is no second router on the network. When the Internet drops off, no indications on the router are lit, in fact, the Internet remains connected. The wires are fully functional and new. Before buying the Archer BE900 router, there was another router from another company, everything worked stably for several years. I also invited an employee of the provider, they checked their equipment and said that everything was fine with them, the problem was with the router and its firmware. The connection is via PPPoE and automatically adjusts the provider settings. The latest available firmware is installed. I also tried reconnecting the old router, it's working fine.
Update: I tried to change the DNS-servers from automatic to manual 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8 as you wrote. While analyzing the operation of the router, it seemed to me that the Internet is slower, but more stable. I'll watch..
Update 2: I confirm that changing the DNS server helped me. Only I did it a little differently than you suggested. I removed 8.8.8.8 and put my provider's server in my preferred DNS server, and left 0.0.0.0 on the alternative DNS server. At the moment, the Internet is stable. Can we say what could be the problem of this router with DNS 8.8.8.8?

Hello@BadBajo ,
Sorry for the late reply.
It seems that you have resolved the issue, right?
If there is a double NAT prompt, it is probably because your ISP's modem is also a NAT. You can change the BE900 to Access Point mode to see if the problem still exists?
Go to Advanced > System > Operation Mode, select Access Point and click SAVE. The router will reboot and switch to Access Point mode.
For Google DNS, it is a public DNS, which is helpful for improving stability. If changing to the DNS provided by your ISP can improve stability, just keep this setting.
When the network is disconnected, the router's LED does not display, which is probably caused by an unstable power connection. But now everything has returned to stability, it is recommended that you continue to observe for a while.
