DHCP issues on access point mode
Hey everyone!
We have a Deco S4 (I think S4, the look definitely matches) setup at our business but we're running into issues where one of them seem to be acting as the DHCP server since some of our printers are trying to use it as their gateway address. Around the same time we've been having issues where DHCP in general was not assigning IP addresses since without static addresses no devices were receiving internet.
We seem to have two entirely different firmware/versions between a few:
3x Are running 1.6.5 Build 20241231 Rel. 41802
2x Are running 1.1.2 Build 20231227 Rel. 84005
One of the 1.1.2 units are acting as the gateway according to our printers (10.0.0.24) which should not be the case as it is in access point mode. Our primary router distributing our fibre connection is on 10.0.0.2 and the only router on the network with DHCP enabled. The primary router is a TP-Link Archer C5.
I have seen on other threads that these units do not have settings for DHCP and that having them in access point mode should disable it anyways (It is definitely in access point mode otherwise we wouldn't be getting internet from it). This issue seems to be very inconsistent as rebooting our printers sometimes goes back to the correct gateway (10.0.0.2) and not the access point one on 10.0.0.23.
Does anybody have any ideas why this could be happening?
