Hi there,

I have a home mesh system with an FTTC connection. The setup is a Deco X50-DSL for the main router with several X50 satellite units. I now have the option to get FTTP installed. I've been told this will include the installation of a wall mounted ONT.

Can anyone advise if my setup will support the use of a VOIP phone with FTTP ? Would I be able to just connect the VOIP phone to one of the nodes via Ethernet cable to make calls or is there more to it than that?

Regards,

Andy

Hi, thank you very much for your time and patience.

How is the VOIP phone used in the network when the Deco X50-DSL is still using the FTTC/DSL connection?

Is it like this, using a DSL splitter?

May I know your internet service provider?

Have you checked whether there is an extra phone socket on the new ONT box or consulted the ISP on how to extend the VOIP service under the new FTTP connection?

Best regards.
