I am a long-time and loyal user of TP-Link routers, currently using the **AX3000 Gigabit Wi-Fi 6 Router**, and I’m truly impressed by its performance and reliability. However, I would like to request a **significant upgrade to the Guest Network Captive Portal system**, which would benefit thousands of professional users like me.

 

Currently, the captive portal offers only basic customizations (SSID, background image, terms of use). In today’s networking demands, this is extremely limited, especially for users managing **LAN-based captive portals or AP-based networks** across businesses, events, schools, or co-working spaces.

### 🔧 **Key Features We Request:**

 

1. **GIF & Video Background Support**

   Allow uploading animated GIF or MP4/WebM background for a more dynamic, modern and professional look.

 

2. **Advanced Layout Customization (HTML/CSS support)**

   Enable full HTML/CSS-based editing so we can build custom branding, layouts and interactive login pages (e.g., multi-step authentication or banners).

 

3. **Multiple Authentication Modes**

   Option to enable **Account & Password** based login (like ASUS or MikroTik captive portals), instead of only password-only fields.

 

4. **LAN-wide Portal Support**

   Ensure the captive portal works for **all LAN-connected clients**, including:

 

   * Devices connected via Ethernet (wired)

   * Devices connected via Access Point (AP mode)

   * Mesh nodes or extenders

 

5. **Device/Session Tracking & Logging Panel**

   Add an optional dashboard to view active sessions, devices and their login status (MAC/IP based).

 

6. **Post-login Redirection URL**

   Add the ability to redirect users to a custom website after successful login (e.g., business website, survey, landing page).

 

7. **Multilingual Content Support (including Bangla)**

   Allow full content translation or dual language support for local customers and branding.

 

8. **Logo Size & Position Customization**

   Adjust size and placement of the uploaded logo or favicon.

 

9. **Mobile Responsive Design Templates**

   Ensure the portal is fully responsive and optimized for mobile phones, tablets, and smart TVs.

Thousands of businesses and event organizers rely on TP-Link for professional-grade guest Wi-Fi solutions. Without advanced captive portal options, many are forced to switch to third-party systems or flash third-party firmware (OpenWRT, DD-WRT, etc.), which is unsafe and invalidates warranty.

 

Adding these features would place TP-Link far ahead of its competitors in user customization and SMB-grade networking, especially for developing regions where these features are vital.
