TD-W9980 firmware update

I just bought the TD-W9980B(DE) v1.0 to use it in Greece.
There is a firmware update to fix the error for my ISP (OTE) in this address: http://www.tp-link.com/en/download/TD-W9980.html#Firmware
Should I go on and install the firmware? Is there any possibility that my router won't get it since it is in German and not in English?
And a second question: Is there any way to make all texts in the control panel written in English and not in German?
