Hi all,

I have two tl-wpa7517 powerline extenders, one works great and the other gets hot and doesn't provide internet very well at all. Can I get this fixed? I'm loathe to throw it away if it can have internal components replaced.

Cheers!

Hello@ohyayhelp ,

Welcome to our community.

Electrical devices will generate heat while running. Usually it is acceptable that the device temperatures below 60°C (140°F).
If the device is working normally and the its temperature is within the normal bounds, then please do not worry.
Here are some usage tips for you:
    1. Put the device in a dry and open environment, do not cover it with any items.
    2. Avoid placing the device on top of or near any operating electronic equipment. Be away from devices like heaters or excessive sunlight.
    3. Try another wall socket.
If issues like connectivity instability or slow speeds persist after the device cools down, please contact local support.
