Unable to connect old printer to WiFi

I purchased a Deco X50 3 unit system a few weeks ago. I no longer need my old router - instead I was able to get it working by connecting the main unit directly to the BT modem.
So far i've successfuly connected all my devices except an old Epson BX625FWD printer.
I've tried connecting via WPS and manually - in both cases I get this error:
*Multiple network names (SSID) that match your entered network name (SSID) have been detected. Confirm network name (SSID).
*A router/access point channel conflict has been detected. If you have problems printing or scanning improve your wireless network,
When I try connecting manually, I can actually see the SSID appearing multiple times in the list of networks.
I was able to connect by turning off 2 of the units - however that defeats the purpose of a mesh system! When I turned the other units on again, the connection fails.
I found another thread with a similar problem connecting to an Epson printer. That user fixed their problem by changing from router mode to AP mode. However, given I'm connecting directly to the modem, is that an option for me?
What can I try?

Hi, welcome to the community.
Deco X50_v1_1.6.7 supports the IoT network. If we enable the IoT network with 2.4GHz only(security type-WPA2 only) and set a different SSID, will the printer be able to connect to the IoT SSID?
Wait for your reply.
Best regards.

@David-TP Thanks for getting back to me
I was able to create an IoT network with a different SSID and the settings you suggested.
Unfortunately, it had the same problem - my printer saw 3 networks with the same IoT SSID name instead of one.
I'm guessing this is likely to be a printer issue? I'll see if I can connect it via cable as a temporary measure. Then try updating the printer's firmware.
I saw fast roaming mentioned as a possible issue, but that's already disabled. Anything other settings I can try?

Hi, thanks for the update.
Did you also disable "Beamforming" on the Deco APP?
Other than this, I didn't have any other suggestions either.
Best regards.

Hi @David-TP
I tried a few things, but eventually gave up getting the printer to work with WiFi. It was quicker to move things around and attach a network cable.
In the medium term, I think a new printer is in order. I'm fed up constantly cleaning the inkjet's heads, so tempted to get a mono laser.

Was thinking about your problem more and wanted to see something. If you can go into the deco app and from the network tab look at the top left for three lines click them and then look for where it says owner and click that. You should now be on a page that says "Select a Network" do you see one network or three?

@HelpFixDecoApp I just see one network in the deco app
I'm pretty certain this is an issue with the printer - not the network
