BE550
Hello everyone,
I recently put the BE550 into operation. I have connected a 6TB hard drive to the router, which is supposed to provide all movies on the network.
There are no setting options available. Media server on or off. I am not familiar with that from the Fritzbox. There are many configuration options available that a modern media server should also have. Where are the configuration options here? In other TP routers, these are present. Why not here? Or have I just not discovered them?
No options to select folders or adjust the scan rhythm.Through the VLC player, my folders are displayed multiple times. In one folder with files, in the other folders (with the same name) without content. New folders are only displayed with luck.
When I plug in a second hard drive, the network often crashes.

Hello @falcone ,
Welcome to our community.
To enable and access the USB drive attached to the Router, please log in the router's web management interface and go to Advanced > USB > USB storage device. Enable the drive that you want to share to the network.
After that, you should be able to access the USB Sharing folders over the network, here are the instructions for accessing the USB Sharing from different client device:
1) How to access USB storage device on the TP-Link Routers from Windows or Mac OS
2) How to access my USB storage device on the TP-Link Routers from my Android and iOS phone
If you wish to access the drive remotely, make sure to enable Internet FTP as well.
If you're experiencing trouble detecting or accessing the USB drive on the router, consider the following tips:
1. USB drive not detected/found: There are various partition formats for USB drives, and TP-Link routers support only certain formats. Some models support NTFS/FAT32, while others support exFAT/HFS+/NTFS/FAT32. Please refer to the router's specification page on the TP-Link official website. It is recommended to use NTFS as it offers better compatibility and performance. For macOS systems, you can use exFAT or HFS+.
2. Can't find the TP-Link share in the network or can't access the USB sharing via Samba (SMB): This issue may be related to the Windows settings, for the detailed walkthrough of the setting steps, please refer to this FAQ: Can't access my USB drive plugged into TP-Link router
3. Failed to access the FTP remotely
1) Ensure Internet FTP is enabled:
2) Ensure the router WAN IP address is a public IP address
3) Use DDNS if the router WAN IP address changes dynamically.
4. Write access doesn't work:
1) Please note that only the SMB/Samba and FTP access support write the USB drive.
2) Make sure you are using an account with read&write access to access the USB drive.
