Hidden network identifiers
Are there any advantages or disadvantages to hiding the network names (SSIDs)?
For instance the app says that when hiding the network name "the WPS feature will be unavailable" but I'm not sure what the consequences of that are.
Thanks

Hi, welcome to the community.
After hiding the SSID, you might need to manually input the WiFi SSID and password when a new device needs to connect to WiFi.
And some smart Home devices might have trouble connecting to the hidden WiFi network.
As for the WPS feature, some devices, like wireless network printers/wireless range extenders, can connect to the Home WiFi via the WPS button. If the WPS feature is disabled on the router, you might need to manually configure the printer to the WiFi.
Best regards.
