Model: OC300
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

Hello,

I notice the latest update of Omada does not allow me to update the firmware from within the devices screen any longer, I must go to your new firmware tab to accomplish anything related to device firmware. Please take this out and put it back to the way that it was. TP-Link needs to focus on making these features work, not just rolling out a controller that doesn't do what it's supposed to 99% of the time. Get rid of this, and quit forcing HTTPS Redirects, or I will pull the plug on these devices and purchase all new Ubiquity items, they are American based anyway, and far more secure than TP Link ever thought of being.

Hi  @havenstance

I can still upload firmware via the device's config page:

Can you see this option on your controller? What's the firmware version of the controller you are using?

  @Vincent-TP that's for firmware I download, before on devices you could click a button that allowed an automatic update on the list of devices, that button is gone now, and the only two ways are the way you showed and that new firmware management nightmare of a screen. This fix wasn't necessary, it was something you all thought up, and it makes administering a real network a pain. I want one click and easy, not a separate screen, not singular updating, I want to trigger a firmware upgrade from the devices menu where I can see what devices are actually on my network...

  @Vincent-TP I never had to enable an option before, I'm not doing it now, put it back to the way it was, otherwise there is no point in having cloud...

  @havenstance

It hasnt been disabled or changed, and controller firmware updates dont disable or uncheck that option either.  They only way its changed is if you disabled it at some point.  Its even enabled by default.
