TP-Link AC600 Archer T2E

I purchased an Archer T2E WiFi PCI Express adapter today and installed it in my computer. However, it only detects 2.4GHz signals and is not picking up the 5GHz band, even though my router supports 5GHz.

Hi,
What exactly does the serial number sticker on your Archer T2E read? (the same sticker is also on the blueish box)
For example "Model:Archer T2E(US) Ver:2.0" or "Model:Archer T2E(EU) Ver:2.0".
I think in Pakistan you should use 5 GHz channels 149 - 165.

Hello@M_Annus ,
Welcome to our community.
If you cannot detect the 5GHz network:
1. Confirm the wireless adapter’s supported wireless mode matches the router’s current mode.
2. Modify the router’s Wi-Fi name, avoiding special characters. (Contact router support for assistance.)
3. Change the router's wireless channel. For 5GHz, use channels 36, 40, 44, or 48. (Contact router support for assistance.)
Best Regards.

@Joseph-TP ,Since this device was purchased in Karachi, Pakistan, I would like to confirm if the provided channels apply to this region or if there are different channels for Pakistan.

Hi@M_Annus,
Thanks for getting back to me.
You can check the wireless settings of your router to see if the adapter can detect the 5Ghz SSID under different channels.
