I can't connect my tp-link

I have a new modem but I can't connect my tp-link range extender. I've tried resetting the unit and have followed the set up steps on the app. However when I search for the unit nothing comes up?

Hi,
Provided the reset of the extender was successful, then extender should now emit a Wi-Fi network with the name "TP-Link_Extender". You need to connect your phone or tablet to this network (no password required) and make sure it remains connected while you are operating the Tether app.

When you reset the extender, please keep the power on.
For most models, you only need to press the extender for 1 second.
Or please tell me the model of your extender.
