Noob questions
Please bear with a total noob with "stupid" questions:
I just installed the mesh system (a 2-pack).
- One Deco is wired to my 1 Gb/s up/down fiber connected modem/wifi router.
I did not change any of the default options during setup. Was that the best choice?
- During the setup process a new wifi network was created by the Deco in addition to the two already existing 2.4 and 5 GHz networks.
Question: Should I connect my devices to the new network or the already existing ones?
Any clarifications and explanations are appreciated.

Hi, Deco WiFi supports both 2.4GHZ and 5GHz, and both bands use the same SSID.
If you enable the IoT network with another SSID, will the TV detect this new SSID?
(The IoT network is on 2.4GHz by default, and you can also set the WiFi Security to WPA2 only)
Wait for your reply.
Best regards.

Hi, welcome to the community.
It is recommended to refer to Can I use Deco with my existing router?
Compared with the default WiFi router mode, the "Access Point" mode is more recommended as there is already an ISP router.
It would be better to disable the existing WiFi on the ISP router and then use the same WiFi SSID and password on the Deco Mesh WiFi.
Thank you very much.
Best regards.

@David-TP Thank you for your response.
Follow-up questions:
- When I disable the "old" wifi, will the Deco wifi be 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz? The "old" wifi has both active.
- My ip TV boxes can not find the Deco wifi, even though the signal is strong at their locations. Why is that? Can I fix it?

@David-TP Thanks again. Works fine now, with only a Deco wifi network.
Turns out my TV decoders' wifi does not support WPA3 security, so they connect when I deselect WPA3 on the Deco wifi.
