Firmware Version: 1.5.2 Build 20240927 Rel 68997

Randomly, two of my three Deco S7 units starts to show a red light and when it happens my connection goes down. 

 

Once in a while the same happens with my main unit. 

 

What have I done to try to resolve this?

 

Updated firmware via Deco app

Switched main Deco to one of the others

Switched from 2.4/5Ghz to only 2.4Ghz and to only 5Ghz network

Disconnected every other Deco, restored everyone of them to factory settings and then added them one by one back to the network

Deleted the network setup and followed the installation steps once again

 

Nothing seems to help

 

Is there a hardware malfunction going on with my Deco S7 units?

 

I need help cause I cant access the internet for more then one or two hours before this happens again.

 

I bought my Deco S7 units at my local store in december 2024.

Have you tried to set Deco S7 into Access Point mode?

How to set up Deco to work in Access Point mode

 

Did the two satellite Deco S7 units connect to the main Deco via Ethernet cables or WiFi Backhaul?

 

By the way, how often would the two satellites Deco S7 turn flashing red?

Yes

 

I tried configuration as both standard router mode

And as access point mode

Main Deco connected to 5G router 

Main Deco in access point mode

Satellite Deco in access point mode

 

My main Deco connected to my 5G router via Cat6 ethernet cable

 

Satellite Deco connected wireless

 

 

It disconnects my internet every day lately

Thanks for the update.

When the satellite Deco S7 turned to flashing red, would a manual restart of the satellite Deco temporarily restore the internet connection?

 

Are these two satellite units far away from the main Deco, with many walls/floors in between?

(Or if you move one of the satellite S7s much closer to the main Deco, will it reduce the disconnection frequency?)

 

And I leave a message with a beta firmware for Deco S7. If possible, please install this version first and test whether it helps improve the network stability.

(The 1.5.1 beta could revert to the official 1.5.2 directly via web UI)

5G router is placed Infront of a window with clear line of sight to 5G tower Main Deco is placed on a desk, in the middle of a room. Satellite1 is placed approximately 8 meters away with clear line of sight to the main Deco, no wall in between. Satellite 2 is placed in the room beside 1 and its a standard wooded wall there. A manual restart where I disconnect the power helps getting them back online again.
