Hi looking for help with 5ghz wifi. I have been struggling for 3 to 4 months with trying to resolve the 5ghz wifi in part of my house. My setup comprises of 3 x50, 3 M5 and a borrowed px50. The system is running in AP mode and connected to a pfsense firewall.

the issue only happens on the 5ghz on the X50's. As soon as I connect to the 5ghz on the x50 the connection (only for the device that has connected to it) becomes unstable. The issue does not appear to happen when connecting to the M5 or the PX50.

I have tried relocating the units and the issue moves.

also, there appears to be no problem when I turn the 5ghz off and run over 2.4ghz, the connection becomes stable.

I have looked for interference issues by relocating the px50 into the same area as well as turning each x50 unit off at a time with no success, as the PX50 performs perfectly on the 5ghz.

I'm now wondering if it could be a compatibility issue between the different Deco's.

the PX50 is running 1.2.4 Build 20240819 Rel.27838

the m5 are running 1.7.8 Build 20240826 Rel.62323

the x50 are running 1.6.7 Build 25031412 Rel. 48241

would greatly appreciate assistance

  @VinnyV

just an update.

loaded the a LinSSID and could see that I had a neighbouring wifi using the same channel. For some reason the optimisation feature was not changing it. A system reset on the neighbouring wifi removed the issue and things are humming away.

Unsure how optimisation works or not working in my case, but I will keep an eye on things should it happen again
