Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.5.1 Build 20250721_Official

This Article Applies to:

Archer AX80(EU) V1 1.3.1 Build 20250718 pre-release version

Archer AX53(EU) V1 1.5.1 Build 20250721 official version

Archer AX72 Pro(EU) 1.0 1.4.1 Build 20250724 official version

Archer AX72(EU) 1.0 1.4.1 Build 20250724 official version

Phenomenon Description:

We've received feedback from users indicating that after updating the router's firmware to the version mentioned above, the web interface page will not display correctly and most menus become invisible when logged into the page. When this happens, all devices connected to the router continue to connect to the internet without issue.

Workaround/Solution:

We understand that this situation can be frustrating. Please be assured that we have prioritized this concern, and our team is actively investigating to identify and resolve the underlying cause as quickly as possible.

As a workaround, please try changing the Mode of your web browser to Light Mode to see if the web interface page of the router displays correctly as expected.

For Google Chrome, navigate to the three-dot option and click on Settings > Appearance > Mode, choose Light:

For Firefox, you can find the Mode settings as below:

You should find similar settings for your browser to change the mode. If you're not sure how to modify these settings, please Google online or feel free to let me know.

Thank you very much for your feedback and cooperation!

For anyone using this on desktop - in Chrome DevTools (right button anywhere on the screen -> select Inspect/DevTools) - you can set the color scheme:

Hit the paintbrush on the right

After this latest firmware anyone else also finding the Tether App functionality seemingly a bit broken ?

Got things happening like it finding a local tp-link router within the Tether app and it also showing a Cloud linked router that it thinks is a different router and seems to struggle to load certain settings pages etc....

@Yelpir0 I haven't been notified by anyone else here in the community that there are unintended behaviors with the Tether app.

Could you please provide the model number of your router? What is the OS version and Tether App version on your phone?

If possible, please try to confirm if there are similar behaviors with another phone.

@rtk33

If you can leave your web browser in Light Mode and you can detect the 1.4.1 Build 20250724 on your router page, you can upgrade and install it.

However, if you don't want to change the web browser to Light Mode to allow the web interface page display correctly, I suggest you wait for the next official version, which could be a new 1.4.3 version.

Here's the details even though I think a restart has resolved the issue now, seemed a bit temperamental right after the firmware update:

Archer AX72 v1.0

1.4.1 Build 20250724 rel.49903(4555)

Tether Android App 4.12.5

Pixel 9 Pro on Android 16

Thank you very much for the details.

Since I have not seen others report a similar concern, and yours is now displaying the router correctly after restarting the router, I tend to think this is an occasional malfunction that might also be related to the mobile phone.

I will pay attention to similar feedback and if this confirms to be a firmware issue, we will be sure to correct it.

I'm not seeing the 1.4.1 update on the router support page

https://www.tp-link.com/uk/support/download/archer-ax72/v1/#Firmware

Can you provide a direct link to the firmware so it can be updated manually?
