Request to Restore Full QoS and Bandwidth Control for Archer C60 v3.0

Hello TP-Link Community,
I am using the Archer C60 v3.0 router. I noticed that in firmware 1.1.0, the QoS feature and full Bandwidth Control options for individual devices are either missing or very limited compared to previous versions. I have seen videos online where the same model shows these features fully functional, which indicates that the issue is related to the current firmware rather than the hardware itself.
This feature is essential for managing my network efficiently, especially when multiple devices are connected at the same time. I kindly request TP-Link to consider restoring the full QoS and individual Bandwidth Control options in a future firmware update for the v3.0 model.
Thank you for your attention and support!
Best regards,
MohammedS

Hello @MohammedS ,
Welcome to our community.
What is the previous version of the Archer C60 that you used?
Archer C60(EU)_V3_190115 is the first version. If you need new firmware, please install Archer C60(EU)_V3_201231.

Subject: Issues with QoS and Access on Archer C60 v3.0 After Firmware Update
Hello TP-Link Team,
After manually updating my Archer C60 v3.0 router to firmware version 1.2.0 Build 20201231 rel.39772(4555), I encountered the following issues:
-
The router web interface is difficult to access from some browsers and only works properly via the mobile app and Firefox.
-
The QoS feature has not changed and I still cannot set individual bandwidth limits for connected devices as I had hoped.
-
The previous firmware Archer C60(EU)_V3_190115 originally did not support per-device bandwidth control, and after the latest update, it is not possible to revert to the previous version.
I have attached a screenshot showing the current firmware version and the available QoS settings after the update.
I kindly request your team to consider adding full per-device bandwidth control options in a future firmware update or advise me if there is a way to access these options in the current firmware.
Thank you for your continued support.

Subject: QoS / Device Priority Feature on Archer C60 v3.0
Hello TP-Link Team,
I would like to provide some additional details regarding the QoS and per-device bandwidth control on the Archer C60 v3.0 router:
-
After the latest firmware update, the “Restore Previous Version” option does not allow loading the previous firmware. I have attached a screenshot illustrating this point.
-
I watched a YouTube video showing the Device Priority feature on the Archer C6 from the same company, which allows setting bandwidth limits for individual devices. Video link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Igk_iHmVd18&ab_channel=TSP%7CTotalSolutionPlus
-
The feature appears at 7:44 in the video and is under the QoS section, showing how to control the speed for each connected device.
-
Although the video shows the Archer C6, it is from the same company and suggests the possibility of including this feature on the Archer C60 v3.0.
I kindly request your team to consider adding this feature in a future firmware update or advise if there is a way to access these options on the current firmware.
Thank you for your continued support.

Hi@MohammedS ,
Thanks for your reply.
In other words, you haven't used the features you mentioned before.
You can vote and specify your specific feature request. If other users have similar requests, they will also vote.
However, I can't guarantee whether these features will be added to this model in the future or whether new firmware will be released. If you urgently need these features, you might consider a new router.
Thank you.

Hi @Joseph-TP,
Thank you for your reply.
I would like to clarify my point: the Archer C60 v3 is still being actively sold in many markets, including my country, at a very competitive price point that makes it attractive for a wide range of users. In fact, it is still available in most trusted local retailers and online stores in my country.
This shows that the C60 v3 is not an “old and forgotten” device, but a model that continues to have sales and active users. Therefore, restoring full QoS and per-device Bandwidth Control would not only benefit current owners, but also make the device even more attractive to new buyers who are still purchasing it today.
Additionally, in my country many 5G packages come with a Fair Usage Policy (FUP), which means users need to carefully manage their speeds to avoid reaching the usage limit too quickly. In such cases, having proper QoS and per-device Bandwidth Control is very important.
At the same time, there are also unlimited home fiber packages without FUP, but households often have multiple users with different needs. For example, one person may require higher priority and stable bandwidth for online gaming, while others may be browsing or streaming. In these scenarios, QoS becomes an essential feature to ensure a balanced and satisfactory experience for everyone.
It is also worth mentioning that in my country, many TP-Link users are not aware of the TP-Link Community forum, and most of them do not know how to register or participate in feature requests or voting. This means that even if a voting system exists, it will not always reflect the actual demand from customers in the market.
In addition, most users in my country rely on point-of-sale staff to set up and configure their routers. They usually ask the sales representatives about the router’s features before purchasing, and if the features meet their needs, they go ahead with the purchase. This makes it even more important for models like the Archer C60 v3 to retain useful features such as QoS and Bandwidth Control, as these directly influence purchasing decisions.
These are just some of the reasons why restoring this feature is not only valuable but necessary for many users.
I believe this feature request is not just for me personally, but for many users who rely on this router as a cost-effective solution. Supporting it with firmware improvements can only enhance TP-Link’s reputation and customer satisfaction.
Best regards,
Mohammed
