TP-Link Deco S4 speeds (LAN)

Currently have a Deco S4 setup consisting of 3 units set up in router mode.
I connect to my 'Main' Deco via LAN and I can only reach a max download and upload speed of 250mbps. (I'm paying for 1000 download and upload).
To troubleshoot, I plugged in the router that was provided by the ISP and I get full speeds via LAN so the issue seems to be with the Deco system and a bizarre limitation in place. I've gone through the app and cant find anything that would suggest why it would be capped, the QoS download and upload speeds are set to 1000. I've done some googling and have noticed there are others with similar issues but cant seem to find a solution.
Can anyone offer any help?

@KrisJ94 You can use Ethernet Backhaul for better speed.

@KrisJ94 Use LAN cable to connect all the Deco units on wired connection for better performance.

@ARGamingPK1 I see - not the most feasible option as they are spread out across multiple floors. This shouldn't really be needed when i'm already connected via LAN to the main unit anyway. I don't understand why it appears to be capped at 250mbps for no good reason

Hi, is the "Internet Connection Type" on the Deco APP "PPPoE"?
Have you tried to connect Deco S4 behind the ISP router, then set Deco into "Access Point mode":
How to set up Deco to work in Access Point mode
Wait for your reply.
Best regards.

@David-TP Hi, Can you advise where in the app I would find that? I see 'Internet Connection Type' within the 'Internet Connection' setting and that is set to Dynamic IP.
I haven't yet tried putting the Deco's into AP mode as I guess I shouldn't have to do that - the reason I purchased the Deco's was so I didn't have to use to ISP provided router

@KrisJ94 Do factory reset and do the setup again.

I'm having the same problem with 3 Deco M5s. A PC wired to the hub gets 900Mbps download. The first M5 is also wired to the hub, but that's giving 500Mbps wifi in the same room. 40-50ft away, with a medium strength signal, the second M5 gives 120Mbps if I'm lucky and the third in the chain is down to 40-60Mbps. I was thinking of upgrading to a Deco XE75 Pro, but now I'm questioning how much better that would be. From what I can see, all mesh does this, regardless of manufacturer. They really need to be hard wired.
