HI

Perhaps someone can Help me with this

When I check my Internet IP address in the router its reports a different one as if I check in on whatsmy ip address.

In MY local Network I have a Ubuntu server running which needs access through the internet.

I forwarded the ports already in the NAT, but nothing seems to work

It seems that my ISP has a own Internet IP Address pool and this one forwards this to my router with a different IP adress shown

So DYNDNS does not work either, because he gets the IP address the ISP provides.

Wenn I take the IP address of whatsmyip this work of course also not

MY Internet connection is a PPPoE connection

Whats MY Ip says I have  46.252.52.121 ds4 but router says I have  10.100.10.121

Has someone an Idea how to solve this?

Hi,

Currently your ISP is assigning a private IPv4 address in the range 10.0.0.0 - 10.255.255.255 to your Internet connection, which can't be reached via the Internet.

The only way to solve this is to contact your ISP, explain to them your situation and kindly ask them whether they are able to (and willing to) assign a so-called public IPv4 address to your Internet connection.

What their response is going to be can't be predicted, but be prepared to hear any of the following: (ordered from best to worst scenario)

- Ok, we will switch you to a public IPv4 address.
- We can switch you to a public IPv4 address for an additional (monthly) fee.
- We can provide you a public IPv4 address only if you switch from your current Internet plan to another (likely more expensive) Internet plan.
- We don't provide public IPv4 addresses to non-business customers.

In case you are being told something like "I am sorry, I don't understand what you are talking about", then try contacting them via another means. My personal experience has been that contacting ISP's via their call centers is usually not very fruitful.

Hello  @mixnetwork ,

Thank you for contacting our community.

As a supplement to Woozle, you can see Why port forwarding feature is not working on my Wi-Fi router?

Best Regards.
