I'm very new to networking, still trying to figure out which TPLink product I need, I'm hoping for some advice and explanation.

We are trying to install a new smart tv at one end of a long house, at one end is a Gen 1 Starlink, at the other end in a new extension is where we need the TV, there are a lot of walls between the two and the TV cannot connect to the Starlink.

The house and extension are wired separately, there is no common electrical wiring so I think a Powerline is not possible.  I don't want to run a cable because there is nowhere to hide it.

I'm guessing we need a wifi extender or Deco mesh but I can't choose between them.

I've looked at the RE505X and to my uneducated eyes this looks a possibility but someone has said we need a mesh.

My thinking was to install the RE505X midway between the two and I think it can then talk wirelessly to the Starlink and have the tv talk wirelessly to it.  Is this feasible?

I don't know why someone suggested the Deco mesh, what's the difference and how do I choose between the two?

Many thanks

Ian
