Options to enable/disable easymesh wifi backhaul bands
First off I'd like to say that I am not requesting this feature specifically for the model that I have chosen. I'm requesting the feature for all easymesh compatible devices. I simply chose the device that I'm currently using but I also also have other ones which work with the BE550 Pro in easymesh mode which I would like the exact same feature to be implemented . So, I'm asking for this feature to be implemented across the board in the entire Archer series of Wifi routers that are capable of using more than one band for backhaul.
The request:
Easymesh is definitely great but there is one glaring omission which I hope can be rectified in the next firmware upgrade. As we know, the 2.4ghz band is already significantly overcrowded so we should have the option to turn off 2.4ghz backhaul and only use 5 and/or 6 ghz for backhaul as that would make a huge difference for over congestion issues for devices like bluetooth and whatever else uses the 2.4ghz band and even potentially for the 5ghz band if that is overcrowded as well. I know that the method of only using the 5 and 6 ghz bands for backhaul, and not the 2.4ghz band, is implemented in the Deco series so to be able to have the option for Archer easymesh compatible devices seems like not only a no brainer but something that could be easily implemented because it already exists in some of your devices. I really liked how the Deco series did not use the 2.4ghz band for backhaul but it didn't give me enough control over my network so I ended up making a mesh network out of three BE550 Pro routers while the one thing (other than having to pay for a subscription to use basic features that are completely free on most, if not all, other brand routers) that I really don't like is not being able to toggle on or off certain bands that are used for wireless backhaul as I would disable 2.4ghz backhaul if I had the option to in order to decrease congestion on that band in my house. I hope my request is not only taken into consideration but implemented sooner rather than later as I think that it would be a great addition for people who have issues with certain bands being over congested.
