Thank you very much.

@David-TP
After updating my 3x Deco M4R's to 1.8.2 Build 20251027 Rel. 36869, I have lost the ability to connect to my Home Assistant over VPN
I had set up a Wireguard server on my Home Assistant device and with port forwarding I was able to use the VPN connection from my phone away from home. After updating the firmware, this connection no longer works.
I have tried to set the forwarding rule again and checked that client IP's werent changed during this update, but for some unknown reason the connection isn't valid anymore.
I have also noticed random connection issues during gaming, with 1-5 second periods of lag that happen irregularely.
Any help with these issues would be greatly appreciated and hopefully resolved in further firmware upgrades.

@Alojz_K great! I also downgraded to version 1.6.5 and it solved all the problems!
From now on, I'm simply going to ignore any kind of software update for the M4.

Hi, have you checked whether the local device can still connect to the HA WireGuard VPN server?
As for the online gaming, did you set Deco M4 into Access Point mode or Wireless router mode?
How are the satellite M4s connected to the Mesh Network, via WiFi Backhaul or Ethernet Backhaul?
Wait for your reply.
Best regards.

@DanielKir if you haven't already updated to V 1.8.2 build 36869, I would hold off. I just updated to that version on or about March 5th, 2026 and have had nothing but trouble with my devices rebooting. I can literally cause reboots by simple speed tests from as little as one single laptop or iphone.

@ARGamingPK1 Thanks for your response. Where can I find FW 1.8.2 for my M4 V 2.0 EU? In the download section, I only see the latest release, 1.8.1. The Deco app does not offer version 1.8.2.
Thank you.
Daniel
edit: I found it, I had to switch regions :)

@David-TP I have been experiencing nothing but red light reboots on my M4 since upgrading to 1.8.2, Build 20251027, Release 36869 the first week of March 2026. I have a Starlink in Bypass mode and using the DECO M4 in Router mode in a four DECO(2 x M4R and 2 x E4R) mesh network. One of the M4R's is connected to my Starlink that is in bypass mode. I can simply make it reboot by performing a simple speed test to Starlink or virtually any ISP. It will even reboot during movie streaming from my Apple TV box
