Hi, may I know your SIM ISP?
Have you checked on the ZTE router that the current 5G network band used is also an LTE band B3?
The SIM ISP seems to be on a 5G NSA network, which relies on the 4G LTE network for control functions, so the user device primarily communicates with the existing LTE cell, not the 5G cell for identity.
Best regards.

Try the following if none of these fix the issue I will get David involved again to see if he can solve the problem for you
Here are some of the likely reasons you are not seeing a "cell ID" and how to properly identify and manage connected devices:
Here are the likely reasons you are not seeing a "cell ID" and how to properly identify and manage connected devices:
1. You may have enabled private addressing on your device
Modern operating systems, including iOS 14+ and Android 10+, use a "Private Address" or randomized MAC address feature for privacy. When this is active, your Deco system cannot reliably identify your device or even track it as the same device when it reconnects.
How to disable private addressing:
- On iOS: Go to Settings > Wi-Fi, tap the info icon (
ii𝑖) next to your Deco network, and toggle off "Private Wi-Fi Address."
- On Android: Go to Settings > Wi-Fi, long-press your Deco network, tap Modify network > Privacy, and set it to "Use device MAC" instead of a randomized one.
The app is not refreshing properly
Sometimes the Deco app fails to update the status of devices, showing incorrect information or displaying devices as offline. If this is the case, try the following:
- Pull down to refresh: In the app's client list, swipe down on the screen to force a refresh.
- Reboot your Decos: Restart your main Deco unit first. If that doesn't work, reboot the other units as well.
Your Deco app or firmware is outdated
An older app or firmware can cause display bugs and detection issues.
- Update the Deco app: Ensure you have the latest version installed from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
- Update Deco firmware: In the Deco app, go to More > System > Update Deco to check for and install the latest firmware.
For 4G/5G Deco users (e.g., Deco X50-5G)
If you have a 4G/5G Deco router and the cell ID is not being displayed, you can view and configure it under the "Cell Lock" settings in the Deco app.
- Open the Deco app and go to More > Internet.
- Select your internet connection type and go to the Cell Lock settings.
- Here you can see or enter the parameters of the desired LTE or 5G cell
