Hello guys,

Starhub has offered me the bundled tp-link HB710 Wireless router under their latest 5Gbps broadband promotion. However, I noticed that there is only 1 10Gbps WAN and 1 10Gbps LAN port.

In my current home Linksys wireless router setup, I have 2 of its LAN port to backhaul 2 satellite wireless routers to, 1 LAN port for my Tapo Wifi Cam and 1 LAN port connect to my Philips lighting bridge.

To be able to connect to my current set up with the HB710, can I connect a switch to the 1 10Gbps LAN port on the HB710 to expand up to 6 LAN port? Will my other WiFi devices still work if connected to the switch's LAN ports and then into the HB710 10Gbps LAN port? Thank you

Hello @C_Breeze ,

Welcome to our community.

If you only want to connect to the LAN through a switch, it's feasible. However, please make sure that the switch's LAN port specifications can meet the speed requirements of the clients.

Also, if you want to set up a Mesh network via a wired connection, please confirm that both satellite units support creating a Mesh network via Ethernet Backhaul.

For more details about the HB710, it is recommended that you refer to Mesh_User Guide.

Please note that HB710 is a customized device specifically designed for local Service Providers. Its software is tailored to meet the unique requirements of these providers, ensuring alignment with their specific needs.

We recommend contacting your Service Provider who supplied the device or local support, as they are best suited to provide the necessary assistance for your device.

Best Regards.
