Model: Deco BE65
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.2.0 Build 20250718 Rel. 43949

Hi,

I am using Deco BE65 (v2) with the latest firmware. After the last firmware update, I can no longer see my Matter devices properly in the Deco app.

- My Tapo H100 hub with 5× S210 switches and 1× T110 sensor is added successfully. These devices appear correctly in Apple Home and Google Home, but in Deco only 1 S210 switch shows up. Others are missing.
- My Meross Matter plug devices also connect to the IoT network and show up in their own apps, but in the Deco app only one plug is visible, the other is missing, even though it’s online.

Before the latest update, these devices appeared normally. The problem started after updating.

Please confirm if this is a known issue with the latest Deco firmware and when a fix can be expected.

Thank you.

@David-TP @Kevin_Z

Bringing in Kevin in on this as well. Not sure if this is a problem with the deco software or with the tapo software

Need help with the Deco app, setup, Ethernet backhaul, network switch or rolling back firmware? Router or AP mode? https://community.tp-link.com/us/home/forum/topic/699816?page=1

  @HelpFixDecoApp

I need to highlight the exact problem more clearly:

  • Tapo H100 Hub does not appear at all in the Deco app — not in the device list, not even in the IoT network view.
  • Meross Matter Smart Plug shows the same behavior — it is connected and working in its own app, Google Home, and Apple HomeKit, but completely missing in the Deco app.

So this is not just about Tapo integration. The issue affects other Matter devices (Meross) as well, which proves the problem is on the Deco Matter implementation side after the latest firmware update.

Please escalate this to R&D urgently, since Matter devices are working fine everywhere else but not showing up in the Deco app.

Since I don't work for tp-link I cant send it over to the R & D section but david or kevin will be able to once they see this. If you find any more info please keep posting it here

Caps  @HelpFixDecoApp

Issue Description:

After the latest firmware update on Deco BE65, I am facing multiple problems with Matter devices:

  1. Tapo H100 Hub – It is not detected at all in the Deco app. It doesn’t show up in the IoT list or the general client list, even though it is online and working fine in the Tapo app.
  2. Meross Smart Plug Mini – This device was added before and worked fine, but now it is shown as connected with a corrupted/invalid IP address (fe80::xxxx). It is not active anymore and even when I select Remove Device in the Deco app, it cannot be deleted from the list.

Both devices (Tapo H100 and Meross Smart Plug Mini) are visible and working normally in their own apps (Tapo / Meross) and can also be added to Google Home and Apple Home via Matter without issues. The problem only occurs inside the Deco app after the latest firmware.

Please investigate whether this bug is coming from Deco firmware or Deco app, because it affects devices from different brands (TP-Link Tapo and Meross

  @fkopmazkaya

Please escalate this issue to R&D team because it affects multiple Matter devices (both TP-Link Tapo and Meross). It is clearly introduced after the latest Deco BE65 firmware update.”

  @fkopmazkaya

Hi, nice to see you again.

I remember that your case was forwarded to the senior engineer the first time you reached out to the community.

I've left a note for the engineer, and could you please also reply to the ticket#TKID250845413 and ask for an update?

By the way, you didn't mention that this issue only started after the 1.2.0 firmware upgrade in Post#838720. So just to confirm, were all the Tapo Matter devices properly listed under Deco App>Smart Home on version 1.1.7/1.1.6(before 1.2.0)?

Deco can't work as a Matter/Thread Border router like Google Nest Hub, Apple HomePod: Can I use Deco as a Thread Border Router? So I think it is expected that you can't find the Meross smart devices on the Deco APP. But Tapo smart devices might be a little different since both brands are from the same company. Besides, Deco APP has already synced one Tapo S210.

Thank you very much.

Best regards.

  @David-TP

  1. Previously, the Meross Matter device could be added to Deco without any problem.
  2. The Tapo H100 Hub could also be added, but it did not work as a proper bridge. Still, it appeared in the Deco app as connected to the IoT network.
  3. After the latest firmware update, the situation changed:
    • Meross Matter devices can no longer be added,
    • Tapo H100 does not connect via Matter anymore,
    • Even though these devices are connected to the network, they no longer appear in the Deco app’s network list.
  4.
  5. Important detail: I am not pairing Deco with other platforms like Google Home or Apple Home. All devices are managed directly through the Deco app.
  6. Before the update, Matter devices were added successfully, but now the process fails and the devices cannot be connected.
