  @Kevin_Z Meu provedor permite apenas o MAC address do aparelho original e utiliza PPPOE, então eu preciso clonar o MAC do aparelho.

Hello everyone,

We know some of you have been experiencing an unexpected behavior on the XX530v V1, where download speeds are capped at around 50 Mbps when using PPPoE with MAC Clone. We want to provide a pre-release firmware to address it.

Model & Hardware Download Link
XX530v_V1 XX530v_V1_0.9.0_3.0.0_Build 251126 (Pre-release version)

Please download and install the beta firmware, then reply to this thread (or contact us) to let us know:

  1. Did your download speed improve to expected levels?
  2. Did you encounter any other issues?

@xigga The reported IPv6 RA Lifetime optimization has been implemented on this version. Please update to confirm.

Your feedback is essential to validate this fix and move towards a stable release.

Thank you all for your continued support and feedback.

  @Kevin_Z
Hi, I am happy to announce that the issue of Download speed being capped to 50Mbps seems to have been resolved. I ran few a speed tests, downloaded content and everything downloads at the max bandwidth allotted by my ISP  i.e. ~100Mbps. I am getting 108-140Mbps which is in line to what I got by the ISP provided router, so no evident throttling.

I did have a issue when I first flashed it from 0.7.0 to 0.9.0 that the router was stuck on EPON Registering Status indefinitely, even after I manually powered it off and on from the power switch. I had to rollback to 0.7.0 where the EPON registered within a few seconds. After that I again tried flashing 0.9.0 and this time EPON registered within a few seconds like on 0.7.0. (Note- No settings were changed when going from 0.7.0 → 0.9.0 → 0.7.0→0.9.0, only the firmware was updated/rollbacked). Not sure if it had something to do with the firmware or something from the ISP side, but 99% sure it was something to do with my ISP and not the firmware, but I still believe I should inform about this.

I only have a 100Mbps plan so my testing capability is limited, I hope other members of this thread having more bandwidth will perform tests on their end and inform if they are getting the speeds they should be getting. This will help in determining if the throttling issue is fully resolved or reoccurs at some higher speed.

My thanks to the TP-Link Support staff and Engineers.heart

@Yash_Kanawjia

Thank you so much for your detailed feedback. I'm happy to hear that the download speed issue has been resolved with the provided beta firmware.

Regarding the EPON Registering issue when you first upgrade from 0.7.0 to 0.9.0, I hope others also pay attention to this behavior. We can then check whether it's just a coincidence or related to a specific ISP environment or firmware.
