Deco x50 outdoor with POE 160S injector

Hi
I am installing a deco outdoor in my current deco network
the x50 outdoor picks the wifi from the main deco.
I have the Poe 160 injector to supply power and data to the x50.
from the x50 i want to extend wired to the next room with a LAN cable
I assume i can connect the network canle with the second port in the x50 , but i prefer to connect it from the P160 Poe.
is that possible.?
I assume its not possible from the data in port. Do i need a 2 port ethernet switch from the data out port from the 160?

Hi, welcome to the community.
On the TL-POE160s, the data/POE power flow has direction:
Interface | • 1× 10/100/1000Mbps RJ45 data-in port • 1× 10/100/1000Mbps RJ45 power+data-out port • 1 AC socket |
---|
So you're right, if 160S provides power for X50-outdoor now, it has no extra data-out port to provide internet for another wired device.
I notice you mentioned that Deco X50-outdoor connects to the WiFi of the main Deco. Is it far away from the main Deco? As you already use the power injector, it seems to be a waste not to connect the X50-outdoor via Ethernet Backhaul to the main Deco(by connecting the main Deco to the data-in port on the 160S).
"from the x50-ourdoor, i want to extend the wired connection to the next room with a LAN cable"
-What will be connected to the LAN cable in the next room?
Running the Ethernet cable directly from the extra port on X50-outdoor is still the best recommendation.
Thank you very much.
Best regards.

Hi,
thanks for your good response
ai need the outdoor x50: because the devices in my garden are too far from the main deco
the current ethernetcable is an outdoor type underground and leads to a second building
i thinks the best option is indeedto connect this cable to the second port in the x50 outdoor.
i wanted to avoid this because now i need to bring these 2 cables through the wall by drilling.
