Deco BE65 always off line in Google Home App
Deco BE65 always off line in Google Home App
My satellite mesh BE65 (Main BE65 plus a satellite BE65) always says its off line in my Google Home App. I have tried numerous network reboots and removing/ unlinking/ relinking TP-Link and re adding to Google Home.
Any ideas or suggestions.

If you haven't already done so could you please refer to this link to submit the Deco APP log.
Thank you

I deployed two Deco BE63 nodes in a mesh last week, applied the latest firmware to both, linked my TP-Link Router account to Google Home after the mesh was fully deployed, and got the same results as reported here. It would appear that the TP-Link developers either incorrectly configured the firmware or their cloud interlink so that only the node operating as the Main (the router) reports their status to Google Home. Google Home knows there's another Deco but isn't getting its status either directly from the node or from TP-Link's cloud because it's not the router. Or maybe it's some other fault. But either way, if it ain't the router, it ain't reporting to Google Home.

Thanks. I am still waiting for a fix from hopefully TP Link. My Deco points appear in Google Home but they appear as in offline status. I can't believe nobody else but you and I have pointed this out to TP Link. I hope they revisit this problem.

@David-TP I confirm that I see the same thing with the BE65 Pro running current firmware 1.2.0. One identical satellite.
Also on my other network - a Deco X73-DSL is the main unit and I have X50 and X55 satellites. Again all on the latest release firmware.
In each case the main unit is always online in the Google Home app, but the satellites always appear 'offline' despite being fully functional.
Looks like a fairly widespread error, although not a very serious one thankfully.

Thanks for letting us know.
Yes, it's "minor" because the satellite points work, but its rather annoying to keep on seeing "Offline" status in Google Home... it makes me do a double take every time I do a quick scan of everything to check the networks health.

@BPCS I know, I understand where you're coming from :-) I agree.
I honestly don't see myself ever using the functionality though. Ditto for Alexa. I wonder if that's going wonky in the same way?

Hi All,
Thank you very much for your time and patience.
As confirmed by our engineering team, due to the internal working mechanism and enhanced privacy protection, Satellite Deco units do not update their online status to the cloud, which prevents Google Home from synchronizing the online status of the Satellite units. However, when you manage your network via the Deco app, all Satellite Deco information is synchronized to the Main Deco via a secure local protocol. The Deco app then retrieves the full network status directly from the Main Deco. By keeping this working mechanism, we provide a higher level of data security and privacy for our users.
Therefore, it is expected that only the Main Deco appears as "online" within the Google Home APP, and all satellite Deco units appear as “offline”. You can always check the real-time connection status and full topology of all your Deco units directly in the Deco app.
We appreciate your understanding and are here to assist if you have any other questions.
Best regards.

Thanks David for explaining that. I am happy to put up with some frustration if better security is the reason.
