Tuesday
Model: Archer AX55
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.5 Build 20241211 rel.34816

OK, This morning my two AX55 (1.3.5 Build 20241211 rel.34816) indicated, that a new firmware is available:  1.4.1 Build 20250821 rel.70686.

I might just update via internet, but normally are more confident with a local file update, but I cannot locate this firmware for download anywhere.

I'm running a pair of AX55 in access point mode (EasyMesh / ethernet backhaul) and does anyone with a similar setup in here have any experience with this new firmware ?

Check here and here for a feedback on firmware v1.4.1.

The reason you can't find this version on the support portal is that it's pretty much new. It will appear there afer some time.

Hello@zEnterHacker ,

Welcome to our community.

As Terziyski shared, some users have already updated to version 1.4.1. We welcome you to try out the new firmware and send us any feedback you have. Of course, if you're concerned about impacting your current network, you can keep your current settings.

  @Joseph-TP

In my current setup (1.3.5) I don't have any major problems.

I quote:"Of course, if you're concerned about impacting your current network, you can keep your current settings."

OK the client isolation in AX 1.3.5 (Guest/LAN) when running in a simple Master/Slave/EasyMesh router setup (Access Point/Ethernet Backhaul) is simply non existent - You can ping almost everything on the LAN (especially wired LAN clients) as a WiFi GUEST no matter what and the GUEST network is not even propagated to the Slave/Satellite via the Ethernet Backhaul protocol so GUEST network is only active on the Master - in my setup this is useless.

So my setup consists of a dedicated wired LAN network AND a dedicated wired GUEST network (DMZ) isolated in a hardware firewall. Getting wireless access requires a total of 2 x 2 = 4 x AX55 routers working in Master/Slave pairs on each (LAN/DMZ) wired network segment (EasyMesh/Ethernet Backhaul).

Is 1.4.1 Build 20250821 rel.70686 some sort of Beta, that slips out to a few of us to test before a more final version will be released?

Please post a complete release history of new features and fixes for this new 1.4.1 version (a Hi-Tech product requires a Hi-Tech information level) - This is NOT good enough:

New Features/Enhancements: Enhanced system stability and security.
Bug Fixes: Resolved several minor bugs with EasyMesh.
Note: This firmware cannot be degraded to the previous version.

Still looking out for more user feedback before jumping to this new version - sorry.

Best regards

zEnterHacker

Keep in mind that usually, the new FW release is being delivered by auto-update feature at differnt times in different geographical regions.
