AX55 firmware release 1.4.1 Build 20250821 rel.70686
OK, This morning my two AX55 (1.3.5 Build 20241211 rel.34816) indicated, that a new firmware is available: 1.4.1 Build 20250821 rel.70686.
I might just update via internet, but normally are more confident with a local file update, but I cannot locate this firmware for download anywhere.
I'm running a pair of AX55 in access point mode (EasyMesh / ethernet backhaul) and does anyone with a similar setup in here have any experience with this new firmware ?

Hello@zEnterHacker ,
Welcome to our community.
As Terziyski shared, some users have already updated to version 1.4.1. We welcome you to try out the new firmware and send us any feedback you have. Of course, if you're concerned about impacting your current network, you can keep your current settings.

In my current setup (1.3.5) I don't have any major problems.
I quote:"Of course, if you're concerned about impacting your current network, you can keep your current settings."
OK the client isolation in AX 1.3.5 (Guest/LAN) when running in a simple Master/Slave/EasyMesh router setup (Access Point/Ethernet Backhaul) is simply non existent - You can ping almost everything on the LAN (especially wired LAN clients) as a WiFi GUEST no matter what and the GUEST network is not even propagated to the Slave/Satellite via the Ethernet Backhaul protocol so GUEST network is only active on the Master - in my setup this is useless.
So my setup consists of a dedicated wired LAN network AND a dedicated wired GUEST network (DMZ) isolated in a hardware firewall. Getting wireless access requires a total of 2 x 2 = 4 x AX55 routers working in Master/Slave pairs on each (LAN/DMZ) wired network segment (EasyMesh/Ethernet Backhaul).
Is 1.4.1 Build 20250821 rel.70686 some sort of Beta, that slips out to a few of us to test before a more final version will be released?
Please post a complete release history of new features and fixes for this new 1.4.1 version (a Hi-Tech product requires a Hi-Tech information level) - This is NOT good enough:
New Features/Enhancements: Enhanced system stability and security.
Bug Fixes: Resolved several minor bugs with EasyMesh.
Note: This firmware cannot be degraded to the previous version.
Still looking out for more user feedback before jumping to this new version - sorry.
Best regards

OK I took a chance and upgraded the two AX55's on my DMZ only isolating several IOT WiFi cameras and other IOT sensors (and of course other WiFi guests that come into the house).
The upgrade from 1.3.5 to 1.4.1 went smooth. I upgraded the MASTER first, waited for the re-boot, logged back in and upgraded the SATELLITE via the MASTERS WEB-GUI. Everything worked smoothly and afterwards I was able to contact sensors and cameras on my DMZ.
Please note I'm running in an EasyMesh Access Point mode with Ethernet backhaul. I compared the old 1.3.5 WEB-GUI with the "new" 1.4.1 WEB-GUI and there is virtually no difference. The only visual difference I detected was that the password strength indication bar now only appears when the password entry field is focused - huge thing right
Anyway I tested to see if a GUEST network would now propagate on to the SATELLITE so you could create two networks with different SSIDs that would include the coverage of both routers. NO - sorry to see that it is still only the MASTER that publishes the guest network SSID - and to make things worse you still cannot log on the SATELLITE and manually create a guest network on that so, I don't think a guest network makes any sense at all when operating in EasyMesh/Access Point mode.
I also run my routers in Smart Connect mode under Wireless Settings in order to allow each of the router's 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands to use the same wireless settings, but I really lack some control options with respect to control which access point a given WiFi client is allowed to connect to. I have an issue with f.i. a Chromecast that sometimes connects to the most distant WiFi router (MASTER) and I have a hell of a job getting it back to the closest WiFi router (the SATELLITE). If I did not use EasyMesh I would have this control option available since I could simply block the Chromecast's MAC address on the most distant WiFi router. That was a suggestion to bring to the R&D guys
Apart from my small hiccups I have no complaints - to me the 1.4.1 firmware does not have any major advantages over 1.3.5, and the release information is to vague to judge anything from. IMHO TP-Link simply needs to state that a guest network in Access Point mode DOES NOT ISOLATE ITS WIFI CLIENTS FROM WIRED CLIENTS ON THE LOCAL NETWORK no matter what security settings. That means your local wired LAN NAS can be addressed from any WiFi Guest, while the AX55 WEB-GUI indicates that it is isolated (only checked in Access Point mode).
I will let my 1.4.1 DMZ router EasyMesh pair operate for some on time before I upgrade my two LAN router EasyMesh pair.
Best regards
