Model: Archer AX11000
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 2.2.1Build 20250725 rel.9119(5553)

Hi,

Since upgrading to firmware 2.2.1 Build 20250725 rel.9119, my router has become unusable.

I use the AX11000 in AP mode as an Access Point. After the update:

1. I can reach the login page via the devices IP address, then enter the correct password.
2.  After pressing Log In,  you get a black screen, then router always redirects to tplinkwifi.net. After update, it does this 100% other time.
3.  At tplinkwifi.net I only see the message “It looks like you aren’t connected to your TP-Link network. Are you trying to connect to the router?”
4. There is no way to manage the device due to redirect
5. The Tether app also no longer detects the router.

I have tested on Mac and iPhone, in Chrome and Safari, with cache cleared, incognito windows, and even a hosts file override on mac. Nothing works.

Before the update, on firmware 1.3.4 Build 20230906, everything worked fine in AP mode with full access to the Web UI via the devcie IP and Tether app.

Where can I download earlier firmware versions (such as 1.3.4 Build 20230906) so that I can roll back? The download page only shows older releases, and rollback is not possible from the Web UI because I cannot access it at all.

Has anyone else experienced this issue, or found a way to correct it?

is there a way to roll back earlier firmware versions (such as 1.3.4 Build 20230906) ?  After this update,  I cannot access the webui interface, due to the redirredt it at all.

Thanks

Have you tried to reset the AX11000 to its factory defaukts and re-configure from scratch To reset the rouer press the reset button for about 10 seconds.

On the global english website you can find the FW v1.3.4 Build 20230906 - here.

But since you're on the FW v2.2.1 Build 20250725 rel.9119, you can't downgrade to an older release.

If you still have issues accessing the router's WebGUI it's best to contact your local support for assistance,

@terziyski Thank you. I was able to find the older firmware versions via your link. I am hesitant to do a factory reset since the issue is with the Web UI (not accesible) and I am concerned the router could remain inaccessible afterward due to 2.2.1 firmware. Even if I had full Web UI access, the 2.2.1 release notes say rollback is not allowed, so that option may not possible. I have already reached out to TP-Link support by email since the chat does not connect to a real person, but I have not heard back yet.

Hello @Luis777 ,

Thanks for contacting our community.

May I know the LED status of the router now? If you connect to the router, what error message can you see?

Please reboot the router for a try.

If you have contacted to local support but didn't get response, please tell me the ticket ID.  Perhaps I can help expedite the processing of your case.

  @Joseph-TP

Thank you for replying.

LEDs are normal white. IThe AP mode unit cannot be managed.  i can get to the routers admin page via IP, but After login the WebUI always redirects to tplinkwifi.net and shows the “Are you trying to connect…” page. Devices may be connected, but I cannot confirm since the WebUI is not accessible given this bug.

I already tried the usual suggestions from support such as factory reset, direct connection by cable, and using different browsers. None resolved the issue.

After factory reset, the WebUI works (access, log-in, and access pages)  in Router mode, but once I switch operating mode to  AP mode the problem returns where i am able to log in, but redirects me to ethe tplinkwifi.net. This only started after the 2.2.1 auto firmware update. My other AX11000s (main router, and aonther on AP mode with auto update disabled) on firmware 1.3.4 work fine and webui pages are accessible.

Support ticket: TKID250928096. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi @Luis777 ,

Thanks for getting back to me.

Please try removing the cable from the AX11000's WAN port and test whether you can access the web interface again.

If you still cannot access it, please try:

  • Logging in via different browsers;
  • Logging in from different devices (including wireless and wired devices);
  • Accessing via both domain name and IP address.
