Port Forwarding not working on WiFi
Monday - last edited Tuesday
Model: Deco X50 - PoE
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.4.9 Build 20250110 Rel. 65349

On the Deco X50 PoE running in WiFi Router mode, I set up Port Forwarding on port 443 and forwarded it to the local computer and its 443 ports.

The provider gives me a static IP address.

I also set up DNS, namely A record indicating the IP address given to me by the provider.

If I open my domain address in the browser, the required website opens, which is located on my computer. If I try to open the same site while on a WiFi network, the site does not open with the error ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT, i.e. my site is not accessible from the inside.

How to set it up so that it works from the inside?

  @iplr

Hi,  are you able to access via the IP address of the local computer and port number when you are connected to the WiFi of Deco, for example, 192.168.68.xxx:443?

If both devices are connected to Deco WiFi, the internal communication doesn't require port forwarding.

"If I open my domain address in the browser, the required website opens, which is located on my computer."

-Do you mean the local web server on the computer can be accessed from outside/WAN via the static IP address assigned by the ISP + port 443?

Wait for your reply.

Best regards.

It was not for nothing that I initially indicated that I had access to the site by domain name.

There are several sites with 1 ip address and they can only be opened by domain name.

Sites cannot be opened by ip, because they are configured to work on domain names.

This is an error on the router's side, that it cannot make port forwarding to the local computer for its clients when accessing the domain name, and after DNS resolution via an external ip.

You can imagine a situation where my home sites are accessible from the outside, everything is fine. As soon as I get home, my home sites are not accessible by domain name?
