av2000 powerline adapters only getting 90mb up / down load
I've had these devices for a few years, but recently upgraded broadband to 990mb, did a Internet speed test on each of my devices (i have 4 of them, with router connected to 1 down stairs), from different points in the house (down stairs & upstairs), and have abysmal up down speeds!?
The devices have the latest firmware through the tool.
I have tested over WiFi direct to router and this gets 150mb (twice that of powerline).
Direct wired eth connection gets 990mb from router.

Hi,
Do all three TL-PA9020P only get you 90 Mbps?
In this case you might want to try to relocate the TL-PA9020P that connects to the router to another wall socket that is farther away from where other electronic equipment is plugged in.

@woozle yes all 3 are not very performant! All at 90mbps
All powerline plug adaptors are plugged direct into wall socket, so using no extensions.
Relocation isn't really an option and i don't see how that would effect the speed this dramatically.
The suggestion is a bit nonsensical too since the PA devices will most definitely have powered devices near then so they can connect to the Internet.
The house is average size, a 3 bed , so there isn't long distances for the power wire signals to transmit.
The speed of all 3 is consistently around 90mbps and didn't vary much at all.
If it was interference, turned devices off near the PA devices should impact the speed rating I.e. improve it, which it doesn't.

Given that all three are incidentally at 90 Mbps, which is just shy of the speed of a 100 Mbps Ethernet link, you might want to check the link speed of the Ethernet connection between the Wi-Fi router and the one TL-PA9020P that is connected to it. If the link speed turned out to be 100 Mbps instead of 1000 Mbps, then that would be causing problem.
Since TP-Link doesn't provide a way to check the Ethernet link speed on the TL-PA9020P, you would have to see whether your Wi-Fi router can show you that information. (most routers actually do)
If the Ethernet link speed turns out to be at the expected 1000 Mbps, then there is not much else you can do. This Powerline technology is not known for providing very high speeds. Before I gave my own TL-PA9020P Kit away I used it to get Internet to the other end of my apartment, a line-of-sight distance of about 15 meters (of course the lenths of the wires inside the walls are much longer), and the speed I achieved was around 120 Mbps.
