From what I understand about the firmware recovery tool they wont be able to upgrade to firmware created by TP-LInk. There is no firmware bin download link for the ISP-customized version, so when the Deco X55 is in recovery mode, there is no firmware available to upload to the TFTP recovery tool.

@JymCaniedo It's under "More" tab> "WiFi access control"
If you're referring to access the web UI through PC, go to 192.168.68.1 or tplinkdeco.net
What's your hardware version btw?

@JymCaniedo Did you buy the X55 from an ISP? Your firmware version looks like a customized one.

@JymCaniedo You need to contact that ISP for newer version of the firmware.
Updating to "regular" firmware is risky.
Yes, regular firmware will have the missing options.

@EVERYONE Thanks guys.
i'm planning to buy another unit from TPLink store. another x55 or maybe x60. and make it as main. will it satisfy to achieve preferred features? or will it be a waste and still need to reach out to my ISP.
Thanks.

Hi, "WiFi Access Control" feature needs the support of all Deco units in the Mesh network. I'm afraid you might also need to replace the ISP-customized Deco X55.
Thank you very much.
Best regards.
