Hello,

I'm looking into options to cover a 2-story building with WiFi7. Having thick walls, I'm now looking at a set of 3x BE85 with 10G backhaul through SFP+ ports.

From what I found on FAQ,

https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/faq/1794/

all 3 nodes can't be simply connected into my backbone fiber network, so I thought about a small 4-SPF+ port 10G switch between main unit and other 2 nodes, with 1 port to spare just in case. Backhaul switch must support IEEE 1905.1.

And this is where I came to this optimization problem. I have an 8-port SFP+ switch, which is L2 managed. I can assign 3 ports to a VLAN. Will that work for a wired backhaul?

This is way above my level

Need help with the Deco app, setup, Ethernet backhaul, network switch or rolling back firmware? Router or AP mode? https://community.tp-link.com/us/home/forum/topic/699816?page=1
