Model: Deco M4
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version:

Hi,

Working away this afternoon, everything fine and all working. Then, internet access dropped out, but it was just my Deco 4's (I have 4 of them) that dropped out. My routewr carried on OK, and I could log onto that to continue. I could find no reason for the drop out and after about 45 minutes they all cam on again, except one. Three of them are all working and the LED is on and white, the fourth one has a flashing blue light. It doesn't stop, but just continues flashing - about once a second. Any ideas on this please?

One other thing, if you can tell me how to change it. My email address has changed. In their wisdom, and kindness, and with no warning, Virgin switched off my. When I eventually manged to speak to their customer service, which sounded like it was being run from a Mumbai fast food outlet, all I could get was don't do email any more. They didn't even say sorry or offer me a curry! So, I would like to change my email address.

Thanks.

  @Grizwold

Hi, can I have the firmware version of your Deco M4_v2?

Did you set Deco into Access Point mode?

Can I also have a screenshot of the network map on the Deco APP? Did satellite units use WiFi Backhaul or Ethernet Backhaul?

Usually, if the LED light is flashing blue, the Deco is still in setup mode. Have you tried to add it again to the Deco APP:How to add an additional unit to your Deco network

As for changing the owner ID, please refer to How to change the owner account on Deco APP

Thank you very much.

Wait for your reply.

Re:Problem
Yesterday

  @Grizwold A Deco unit that keeps flashing blue usually struggles to reconnect to the main node, so resetting that one device and pairing it again often clears the issue. Some users also forget that a mesh update or a brief power fluctuation can desync a single node even if the others stay fine. The email update part is simple in most dashboards, as they let you switch to a new address under account settings without affecting the mesh setup. I had a similar situation once and even checked the dave's hot chicken menu on my phone to pass the time while the node re-paired, so a full reset and fresh sync might get yours stable again.
