Hi there,

 

I've currently got a SMARTY mobile SIM in my Deco and it works fine. I'm looking to try ASDA mobile.

 

When I remove the SMARTY SIM and insert the ASDA sim I get a red light. Doesn't matter how many times I reboot the router with/without the SIM I still can't get the router to connect to ASDA internet. Sometimes it does show as connected to ASDA mobile, but there's no internet.

 

Any ideas? I'm stumped.

Turns out ASDA hadn't linked this second SIM card to my account.

 

Fear not! It can be linked when I gave them the barcode from the packaging.

 

Received the SIM 3 days ago. Packaging was in the bin long ago.

 

Now I have to wait for a 3rd SIM.

 

This time I know to keep the packaging and phone them.

 

Thanks for nothing ASDA!

Update: sometimes I'm getting Asda Mobile in the internet isp settings: 

 

But when I click the bit where it says Asda Mobile, it has no listing for the ISP:

(The one listed here as ASDA was made by me and doesn't connect)

Hi, have you checked whether the ASDA SIM cards could be used on a 4G/5G router, instead of the mobile phone?

And have you used the ASDA SIM on other 4G routers before?

The Asda mobile site doesn't state specifically that it'll work in a router, but it was the same with smarty mobile and it worked flawlessly. 

 

I've not tried the SIM in another device as I only have the one phone and didn't want to mess with it.

 

No wan IP address.

 

I'll phone Asda today and see what they say. Maybe it's not linked to my account at their end? As this is the second SIM they've sent. The first one never arrived.
