AX1500 Router seems to bottleneck at 500mpbs
Hi,
I recently bought an AX1500 to use in this house I'm living in, but its speeds seem to be limited at 500mbps via ethernet.
So far, I have followed the advice in the following threads:
https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/268382
https://community.tp-link.com/us/home/forum/topic/256998
and nothing has improved.
For reference, this router is plugged into our house's modem/router(?) which Virgin Media gave us upon moving in. The cable used here is a Cat6 cable which I have verified is capable of speeds up to ~900mpbs. The AX1500 is the only device plugged into the main router via ethernet. This cable goes into the AX1500.
I then plug a second ethernet cable (which I also verified is capable of speeds up to 900mbps) into the AX1500 and into my desktop machine. In the past my desktop has also been capable of reaching speeds upwards of 900mpbs. All of this leads to a hardware issue in the router itself. Does anybody have any suggestions as to what the problem may be? I feel like I've tried everything I can and yet my internet speeds still seem to be bottlenecked around 500mbps.
Thanks.
