When connecting to the internet through a router, download speeds from some resources drop sharply. For example, from fexnet or github If connected directly via the computer's built-in LAN, everything is fine. I have a 1 Gigabit internet package. For example, download speeds from GitHub with a direct connection are 70 Mbps. But through the router, they're 1.9 Mbps. The router's gigabit port is forced to 1000 Mbps. I've tried various methods, including auto-negotiation and manually assigning a speed to the port. Nothing helps. Meanwhile, download speeds from, for example, Google Drive reach up to 90 Mbps. Upload speeds to YouTube also reach 70-80 Mbps. Maybe someone can help with this?

Hello @Skeptik79 ,

Welcome to our community.

Please change DNS of router to Google DNS:

  • Like 8.8.8.8 (Google DNS) or 1.1.1.1 (Cloudflare DNS).
  • Save the Settings and restart the router.
  • After restarting, clear the DNS cache of your computer (run ipconfig /flushdns in the Command Prompt or PowerShell).
  • Retest the download speed of GitHub.

Also, have you enabled QoS? Please disable it for a try.
