Model: Archer C80
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: latest

Hi, I have a 5g box NX510V as my main router. I connected 2x C80 V1 and V2 to it via easy mesh. 20. It is not possible to connect to any C80 box within the mesh. Wifi throws a configuration error. Tested on a laptop, tablet and mobile. C80 does not work mesh even though everything looks ok. Mesh devices are visible on the NX510V including the correct IP. Tried resetting and configuring repeatedly, but nothing works. I tried X23 and it has no problem with easy mesh. But the C80s do not work. LAN connection is ok. Wifi does not work. I tried both LAN backhaul and wifi mesh connection and both C80s still behave the same. There is no connection via wifi.

The hardware reset didn't help, so I tried again after the reset and from the menu to perform a factory reset. And suddenly everything works. The only thing that doesn't work on the NX510V is the ability to upgrade the FW to X23. It is only possible with the latest firmware from the X23 menu in mesh mode. You are out of luck with the old firmware. Here the X23 will not allow you to connect via IP address in mesh mode. So I conclude the problem has been solved.

Both C80 v1 and v2 support Easymesh with their up to date firmware.

What you can try in the WPS method for configuring the Easymesh:

To use the WPS method for an Easymesh network, enable Easymesh on the main TP-Link router, then press the WPS button on both the main router and the satellite device within two minutes to add it to the network. The devices will then establish a connection and form the mesh network

Before doing that, reset all C80s to its factory defaults.

Is it a case that you can build an Easymesh successfully with both C80, but you can't connect a wireless device to either of them ?

@terziyski I have reset both C80s several times. And still the same. I see them active in the NX510V router like mesh routers C80. But I cannot connect to their wifi. Always the same error. I cannot connect to the wifi. I have them divided into 2.4 and 5GHz and I cannot connect to either of them, only to the wifi on the NX510V. They have the same names, the routers have the same IP ranges according to the listing. I bought an Archer AX23 and here the mesh works on the first try. I connect to the wifi and everything is ok. But I only have both C80s as paperweights without wifi. Unfortunately.
