  @intergram

Hi, may I know who your internet service provider is? How about the internet connection type on Deco, Dynamic IP, or PPPoE?

I didn't have any other suggestions and would like to forward your case to the senior engineer for further assistance.

Please check whether you could receive my email later.

Wait for your reply.

Best regards.

Thanks for reaching out. I understand that you are experiencing slower upload speeds over Wi-Fi (100Mbps download / 25Mbps upload) compared to wired Ethernet (100Mbps/100Mbps) on your Deco Mesh network, even after updating firmware and adjusting QoS settings.

Here are some steps to help you accurately measure and potentially improve your Wi-Fi speeds:

1. Accurate Speed Testing:
• Use https://www.speedtest.net or the Speedtest app/CLI for reliable speed measurements.
• Confirm your ISP/modem speed by connecting a PC directly to the modem/router to ensure you’re getting the full 100Mbps/100Mbps.

2. Wired (Ethernet) Speed Verification:
• Connect your PC directly to the main Deco unit using CAT5E or higher cables. Ensure all Ethernet ports (modem, Deco, PC) support your subscribed bandwidth.

3. Wireless Speed Testing:
• When testing Wi-Fi, ensure your device is connected to the nearest Deco unit and using the high-speed band (preferably 5GHz or 6GHz, not 2.4GHz).
• Make sure no other devices are using high bandwidth (such as streaming or downloading) during the test.

4. Improving Speed on Deco:
• If Ethernet speed is slower than expected, try different Ethernet cables (CAT5E or above) and different ports on the main Deco.
• In the Deco app, go to MORE > ECO Mode and make sure ECO Mode is disabled.
• Go to MORE > QoS and ensure QoS is disabled. If there is no on/off switch, set QoS to standard and remove all priority devices.
• Go to MORE > Advanced > NAT forwarding and disable SIP ALG and UPnP.
• Try several different speedtest servers, as results may vary.

For more details, please refer to this FAQ: https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2429/

If you continue to experience slow speeds or if the upload speed over Wi-Fi remains much lower than expected, please contact TP-Link support and provide the results of these troubleshooting steps. This will help us assist you further.

Hi   @HelpFixDecoApp ,

i tried all the steps and the results are the same. some of the results are in the jpg i attached in the original post.

i also have network setup in a different location with 4x xe75 v1 and that network runs with no problem.

its these 2x xe75 v2 network setup in another location that has this issue. as v2 is on a older firmware then the v1, could this be a firmware issue?

  @HelpFixDecoApp

different houses

the 4x xe75 v1 is in one location with 70+ tapo iot devices connected with no issues. (ethernet backhaul)

the 2x xe75 v2 is another location with under 10+ tapo iot devices with slow upload speeds via wifi when connect to either xe75.  (ethernet backhaul)
this 2x xe75 v2 1setup gets 100/20 over wifi, instead of 100/100 connected via ethernet to the modem or xe75 v2 unit

Have you tried replacing the cable? A bad cable can cause speed issues

Please try the following and get back to us.

Go to MORE > QoS and ensure QoS is disabled. If you do not see an on/off switch for QoS, set it back to standard and remove all priority devices.
Go to MORE > Advanced > NAT forwarding, and disable SIP ALG and UPnP.

Go to MORE > Echo (If your model supports it) and turn that off as well

Beside trying the "Network Optimization" tool under the More tab you could try to reset both units by pressing the reset button on the bottom of each one for 2 seconds and then rebuild the network from scratch but you would still be able to use the same SSID and password.

Even though you tried a different cable it still could be a cable issue. We had a user on the forms with a bad cable and once he found out the strands of the cable were not pressed down hard enough in the RJ45 jack his speed double when he fixed the cable.

Thank for the reply @HelpFixDecoApp

i think i have exhausted every known option to me... with no success :(

turning off and on every function that i could,

Ran the network optimization a couple of time,

hard reset both the xe75 v2 units,

swapped and reassigned the secondary xe75 as the main unit.

swap cable to the modem & tried each of the 3x rj45 port on the xe75.

updated the firmware. to the latest 1.3.0 for these 2x xe75 v2
