xe75 poor upload speed on wifi
xe75 poor upload speed on wifi
Hi
i have been having issues with the deco xe75,
i have 2 units connected.
(xe7 living room) setup as the router connected to the modem (100mbps/100mbps line)
(xe75 bedroom) connected via ethernet cat6a to the xe75 in the living room
when connecting my macbook via ethernet directly into either of the xe75 i get speeds of 100mbps/100mbps
when on WIFI with wither the macbook/phone/pc regardless on (xe75 living room) or (xe75 bedroom) i get speeds of 100mbps/25mbps
would any one be able to assist please? i downloaded the latest firmware, tired having QOS on and off. , tried 2.4ghz and 5ghz, no change in the wifi upload speed
attached are some screenshots of the setup

Hi, may I know who your internet service provider is? How about the internet connection type on Deco, Dynamic IP, or PPPoE?
I didn't have any other suggestions and would like to forward your case to the senior engineer for further assistance.
Please check whether you could receive my email later.
Wait for your reply.
Best regards.

HI @David-TP
thanks for the reply.
i'm in Malaysia, the service provide is 'YTL boardband' (100mbps download /100mbps upload)
The deco is on PPPOE mode connected to modem. (100mbps download /100mbps upload)
i when out to purchase 3x brand new BE25, swapped out the XE75v2 re-setup the network. And still have the same reduce upload speeds of 20mbps via wifi the laptop (macbook pro m3max +macbook air intel).
however its showing 98/97 when connected over ethernet and when using the internal BE25 speedtest on the deco app. There are no speed issues using a iphone.
Did further troubleshooting, tested, and recreated the issue and found out that is actually apple's macbook pro and macbook air that are having wifi upload issues specifically with the DECO units (be25, xe75)
its so strange as i'm tried doing a WFI speed test with the macbook in 2 different offices & cafes, and i am getting the correct upload speeds. of (100/100)
so it look like its a compatibly issue with the apple devices and the deco device
i hope this information help in future firmware developments.
Thanks again for trying to troubleshoot this

There was another user on the forums having WiFi speed issues and it turned out to be the network card in his computer. Im wondering if you got a WiFi adapter for your MacBook to see if that fixes the issue?

Hi @HelpFixDecoApp
yes after more testing and troubleshooting, its definitely the macbook wifi module, however its specifically with TP-LINK /DECO routers.
did a test outside connected to the router from another brand, and it seems to be find.
Please find attached the screenshot of the test.
hope these finding help in any future firmware.
