So basically on my laptop the Range extender/repeater keeps disconnecting and then almost instantly reconnect. I find this annoying. Anyone know why this is like this?

Hello @Mo2882 ,
So, you are experiencing frequent disconnections and instant reconnections on your laptop when using your TP-Link Range Extender. This kind of instability can be frustrating, but there are several steps you can take to resolve it:
If the Signal, 2.4G, and 5G LEDs on your extender turn off when the connection drops:
1. Ensure the extender’s Wi-Fi name is different from your router’s. This helps avoid confusion between the two networks.
2. Update your range extender’s firmware to the latest version. You can find the latest firmware and instructions on the TP-Link website.
3. Reposition the extender to ensure it is within good range of your router. For optimal placement tips, visit: How to place your wireless Range Extender for optimal reception and performance
4. Set your router’s wireless channels: For 2.4GHz, use channels 1, 6, or 11. For 5GHz, use Band 1 (channels 36-48).
If the Signal, 2.4G, and 5G LEDs stay on when the extender disconnects:
1. Make sure the extender’s Wi-Fi name is different from the router’s.
2. Check that your router’s internet connection is stable and not dropping independently of the extender.
3. Update the extender’s firmware to the latest version.
