Hello, sorry for my poor English.

I searched for information about the features of TP-LINK consumer routers.

I was pleasantly surprised by what you can do.

In particular, the ability to select the devices that can connect to the Wireward VPN, or select the device that can access the router via https.

This is an additional security measure.

I've read some posts, like this one

https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/threads/topic/750730

where it's asked about the ability to change the configuration options to select the list of devices enabled for the VPN connection.

I'm asking if there are some configuration differences compared to the router manuals, which explain how to configure the list of devices enabled for the VPN connection.

I'm wondering if the options have changed and where I can find these new options.

Changing topic, I checked online to see if TP-Link consumer routers can manage two separate local LAN networks.

The two LAN networks must be able to handle two different IP addresses, for example, 192.168.1.2 and 192.168.0.2.

I found these two posts:

https://community.tp-link.com/en/business/forum/topic/255808

https://community.tp-link.com/en/business/forum/topic/275274

I understand that only the ER605 and ER7206 models can do this.

I'm asking if this is the case, and why other TP-LINK consumer routers don't have this configuration option.

I have an older D-Link consumer router that can do this.

Thanks.

  @ermete74 ,

For example, the two links you gave me refer to business devices. You can ask questions in the Business Community, and relevant personnel will follow up on your case.

Currently, our devices are mainly divided into home devices and business devices. Based on your description, the business devices are better suited to your needs.

For Home Device, you can refer to What is a VPN Router?

  @ermete74

Hi,

On TP-Link's "Archer" line of router models the VPN Client only has the list to select the devices that will connect via the VPN. There is no "allow all" option and no "deny" list.

For your second question. TP-Link's "Archer" router models designated for home-use don't offer the option to setup two (or more) separate LAN networks. Like you already mention, this feature is available on TP-Link's routers made for "business" users. My guess is that this is a marketing decision.

Sorry for my poor English.

Can you tell me how TP-LINK modems are classified: consumer and business models?

Do I have more options for selecting devices in the VPN connection list for business models?

I read a post about the Deco BE95 model, which has more options.

Thanks.

Sorry for my poor English.
Thank you for your reply.
I'll look for more information online to understand the differences between the consumer and business models.
Thank you.
