M4R wired connection failure after last FW update
have the following deco network:
1. X20 - main deco - connected to the internet
2. X20 - connected by wire to main
3. 2xM4R - connected by wire to main
4. M4R - connected wirelessly to main
I have set the decos to auto upgrade.
recently the 2 wired M4Rs are getting disconnected (red light), while the rest of the decos are fine.
if I disconnect power supply and the connect it back, the deco wakes up fine, but after some time it disconnects again.
there were no network changes, all switches are fine, tried other ports and other cables, all are fine.
I suspect it is related to the last upgrade - 1.8 20250721 rel 49216 does it makes sense?
this network was stable in last 2-3 years -the issue started lately
previously (before I purchased the X20) the M4 was the main deco, and worked flawlessly a few years)
is it a known issue?

@ImtiazAli , I use auto update, and anyway, it says there are no updates
BTW, once I disconnect the ethernet cable and connect these 2 units wireless to the mesh - the M4s are not disconnecting (solid white light)
BTW #2 - the wired network is stable (other wired clients are not disconnecting)

Just an FYI the auto update doesn't always show the newest firmware. You should try to log in to the web ui and see if there is new firmware there.

@Itay_a You didn't mention hardware version of your X20s.
Assuming it's V1, the latest firmware version is 1.6.1

Bottom line
I'm on latest fw as far as I understand
Since th last m4 update, the m4s are spuriously losing wired connection
Connecting them wirelessly solves the problem, but is less optimal, given the fact the units are located next to a wired infrastructure
It's frustrating 😒

Can I have the model number of the network switches used for Deco Ethernet Backhaul?
Would you mind drawing a simple network topology of the network connections, such as:
ISP modem----main Deco X20_V4---switch#1----satellite Deco X20----<wifi>Deco M4#3
\-----Deco M4#1
\-----Deco M4#2
As all satellite units work in the same way, can you try to swap the location of one wired satellite Deco M4s with satellite Deco X20 to check whether the Ethernet failure always follows the Deco M4_1.8.0?

current cunfiguration:
ISP -->X20 -->switch (TL-SG1008D) --> X20 + M4 + M4
+ one wireless M4
once I change the M4s to be wireless, they dont get disconnected

to emphasize:
if I run X20+X20 wired, and all the M4s wireless - all is good (except the fact its slower)
once I connect even a single M4, no matter to which port, and the beginning it will work fine, but after some time it will lose connection, and sometimes even cause the secondary x20 to lose connection momentarily
this never happened, and Im using this network for years with same configuration
