I've finally had enough of my Netgear mesh stuff and am looking at the TPLink BE65.  (I've always had good luck with TPLINK.)

 

Right now, I have a base and a remote .. two distinctly different units.

 

It LOOKS to me like a BE65 mesh system consists of two or more identical devices.  Is this correct ?

 

You see, it has purchasing implications.  A "Two Pack" is MORE than twice the price of a single unit!   Buying two singles, as opposed to a two pack, looks like the smart route.

 

Do I have this right?

A 2-pack package works the same as two 1-pack packages. But there are still some differences. One of the typical scenarios would be that it can be guaranteed that two units in a 2-pack are the same hardware version, but not always for 2*1-pack packages.

  @David-TP Amazon (Canada).  Individually, they're $229.00  Two pack is $629.00.  Three pack is $649.00.

Didn't think about the hardware version. Hope I get lucky, because I just ordered two singles. (I'm an old man on a government pension .. 200 bucks is 200 bucks!)
