Tesla connectivity gone after upgrade to Deco X20 firmware (1.61)
Hello,
Before upgrading my Deco X20 (v1) with the latest firmware release(1.61), i was able to let my tesla wall connector connect with my normal wifi signal(not guest network). This was working with WPA/WPA3 security enabled. This was possible when wall connector had recent firmware.
After upgrading to Deco X20 firmware 1.61 my Tesla Wall Connector was not able to connect anymore(Using the default (non-guest) signal. I know the password between Deco and Deco X20 is correct. When I disable normal wifi connection and create a Guest Wifi netwerk with the same SSID and password (WPA2 only), then the Wall Connector is able to connect to the Deco X20...
I don't like using the guest network, becauses it interferes with each other.
Any reason why this happens, and how to fix this ?

Hi, welcome to the community.
If we temporarily set the main WiFi network to WPA2 only, will the Tesla wall connector also connect to the main successfully?
Please also make sure the Wall Connector is up-to-date.
Some Google searches have mentioned that:

Thanks for the response.
It's a good suggestion that I already tried and that did not work. I'm sorry I didn't include in the first post. I simply forgot.

@kaayman Hi, thanks for the update.
I'd like to follow up on your case via email and ask the senior engineer for further assistance.

-Just to confirm, the Tesla Wall connector also can't connect to the main Network, even though the WiFi Security is set to WPA2 only, right?
Would there be any error message when the Tesla Wall connector failed to connect to WiFi?
It is also recommended to disable "Malicious Content Filter" and "Intrusion Prevention System" under Deco App>Network Security.
Thank you very much.
Best regards.

On main wifi when security is changed from WPA2/WPA3 to WPA2 (only) it still doesn't work.
It only works with WPA2 on guest network for some reason
